Playing treasure hunt with a body in an old mansion. It's kind of like one of those really corny horror movies, huh? Never thought I'd be in one.

I could take a zombie. They wouldn't stand a chance! Vampire? That might be tricky... Werewolf? Why are werewolves bad? Wolves aren't bad if you leave them alone. Those movies are dumb.

...I wonder if Yuffie will do something to scare us...

I might smack her if she does. That's just too much!

...If he's been sleeping all this time, is he a vampire? ...Could be tricky. What was that clue again?

[ She hesitates... this isn't exactly something to tell a kid. Then again, Sora's not much younger than Yuffie, who is currently alternating between complaining about the creaky old building and boasting that it doesn't scare her.

Not that Aerith believes her 100%. ] We don't know how long he's been here, and they've done experiments that turned people into monsters before... I'm not sure how we'll find him. The note even said he'd been "altered".

We will do what we can, though.

Sora! You have to be careful with people like him! [ It comes out sharper and quicker than she would have liked--but for a split second she'd thought of Sora going after Hojo. It's a silly idea, he's in another world.

Yet, there are probably people like Hojo in those worlds, too. ]

Hmmm... I guess you could say... we're partners.

We're 'connected'.

[And if Aerith listens carefully, if she's lost deep enough in her daydreams, she'll get the sense that he means it in a very specific way. That Sora needs Roxas, and that without him, he only feels half there. And that with Roxas, he feels like he can take on the worlds.]

...not sure how well I understand...It feels like there's more to it, but I've never felt that with anyone.
