There should be some meaning to my life

I won't be able to care for Mama when she grows older.

I never had anyone near me growing up. Papa was gone, Mama was busy, and I didn't make friends. When I thought I finally did, it was a lie and they weren't the friends I was looking for. When I finally found the ones who could be, I didn't realize it for a long time. Now that I finally see them, is it too late?

There are a lot of places I haven't seen, things I never experienced.

I wanted to be strong enough to fight with them to the end- as a fellow warrior.

But... somehow it feels good to rest right now.

Sounds lucky. And stupid.

[Stupid on her part for not seeing them. Then again Tsukuyomi doesn't know if what Ami says is true or not. He has dealt with her enough to know that she's terribly biased by her own opinions. It's something both admirable and annoying. On the other hand it doesn't really matter, he knows who he is, he knows how he is and the life he has. She can claim that the Usagi she knew had thousands of people, it's not going to make him have even a single person besides him the way he wants them to be.]

And you asked why I didn't want her powers?

[Though knowing her and his luck she probably has already decided that he will go and destroy the planet as well or something like that. It's not as if she is talking with him now anyway, is she? She's talking to just another Sailor Moon.]

[There's a heavy pause here. But despite the silence, images flicker through the link. Images of a beautiful princess with buntails standing in the middle of devastation. Images of her walking among corpses. Images of her looming over Tsukuyomi's fading body.]

No one should be trusted with that kind of power. The power to save the world? Bullshit.

[The words from Tsukuyomi start to grow weaker and distant, in the distance the sound of an alarm ringing, dragging him away from dreams.]

Princesses aren't God's gift to the world. They are the devil's gift.

Not again. Never again. I'll erase her before anyone ever hears of her again.

...If ... else fails... just erase... even myself...

[The sound grows stronger making him wake up, leaving only a lingering thought behind, until he falls asleep again.]

Ami-chan.
